PU moulds used to create a new qeneration of air racers

Oro Valley, Arizona — A duplicate of a racing aircraft which won the Reno Air Racing National Championships nine consecutive times was created using moulds carved from polyurethane blocks. The original and duplicate plane's creator Jon Sharp said it was his soft tooling for prototyping knowledge that allowed him to produce carbon fibre/epoxy composite kit elements from a CAD data file on the original craft.
