Liming launches new range of PU composites for school bus

Luoyang, Henan — Liming Research Institute of Chemical Industry has launched new glass fibre-enhanced polyurethane composites after two years' research into an effective substitute for aluminium and other metals used for baggage racks and air flues in buses. According to a company announcement, it's the first time a Chinese firm has successfully developed such a material. The company said the PU composites are 25% less dense than traditional materials, are flame retardant and are more environmentally-friendly than traditional materials, said Liming.
