A 56-year-old man with a large nonfunctioning adrenal mass.

A 56-year-old African American man presented with fatigue and an unexplained 80-lb weight loss in 24 months. Computed tomography (CT) scan of the abdomen demonstrated a large left adrenal mass and the patient was referred to our urology clinic. By history, the weight reduction was associated with vague left-upper quadrant abdominal pain, early satiety, and nausea with intermittent non-bilious emesis. Our patient had diabetes and hypertension, but was not taking any medications.
