Activities of the Titan SJSC (State Joint-Stock Company), Armyansk, the Autonomous Republic of the Crimea, management over the last two years have been reminding of army headquarters work. This is not a literal comparison only - events that were recently taking place on the world market for Crimea's main output - titanium dioxide - were the real trade war. The USA - consumer of more than 30 percent of Ukrainian imports of this product have imposed a 100 percent import duty on the commodity. Indexes of world stock markets have lowered, so did world prices for titanium dioxide, and crowing prices for power carriers did push the cost of the Ukrainian product up. In this light, the enterprise succeeded to finish the last year with a profit and certified its output under international standards. At present, Titan is preparing for crucial production upgrade.
