摘要

Transvaginal gray-scale imaging provides morphologic evaluation of the uterus and ovary, including assessment of internal structures such as septae, papillary excrescences, and wall structures. Color Doppler sonography and spectral analysis are used to depict their vascularity (Fig. 1). Three-dimensional (3D) (volumetric) sonography is often used to provide detailed assessment in addition to that obtained with two-dimensional (2D) imaging, showing spatial relationships and vascular morphology. 3D sonography can depict uterine and ovarian neovascular-ity and show aberrant vessel clusters, branching,and irregular caliber, which are seen in tumors within the pelvic organs.
