USA to return CFS import duties from Asian producers after trade group ruling

NewPage lawyers were mulling a possible appeal last week against a surprise ruling by the US International Trade Commission (ITC) that quashed penalty duties on Asian imports of coated freesheet (CFS).The US Dept of Commerce (DOC) imposed import duties of up to 144% earlier this year after its investigators concluded that subsidies to CFS producers in China,Indonesia,and South Korea gave them an illegal trade advantage.
