Sappi joins cost-cutters

Sappi plans to implement a series of cost-cutting measures in europe,the us and south africa.The company intends to shut djown its highest-cost machine,the 85,000 tonne/yr coated woodfree PM 14 at the westbrook mill in the US.Sappi is also to close its clan sawmill in south africa by the end of the year.
