摘要

Engineering education in India is witnessing a major change with limited number of state-funded engineering education institutions (EEls) and new class of education providers, such as the private institutions. Hence, the stakeholders have an extensive choice of options to choose. This has led to changes in educational processes in order to develop a healthy educational system. The present study has chosen to study the implementation of total quality management (TQM) with an approach of assessing its linkages with performance. Particularly, it has tried to identify and apply TQM principles using interpretive structural modeling (ISM) and classify them according to their driving power and dependence. (46 refs.)
