In replicated research trials performed at the University of Wisconsin Hancock Research Station and Cornell University Cooperative Extension on eastern Long Island, NY, Nitamin SOL, a slowly available liquid nitrogen fertilizer developed by Georgia-Pacific, significantly improved marketable potato yield and increased tuber size when compared to quick-release nitrogen (N) sources. In both locations, high N use efficiency in sandy soils was a critical factor for high production.
