Inventory of passives among component manufacturers is slowly dwin-dling and a shortage of resistors and capacitors is possible by the third quarter, according to a report by market intelligence provider iSuppli. At the beginning of the year, passives suppliers had about 100 days of inventory, but are working toward 60-90 day levels, which is normal ofr the industry.
