Former Great Lakes CEO Joins Celanese

Celanese says it has named John J.Gallagher as executive v.p.and CFO,replacing Corliss Nelson,who has left the company.Gallagher most recently served as CEO of Great Lakes Chemical prior to its acquisition by Crompton,and previously as senior v.p.and CFO of Great Lakes.Celanese president and CEO David Weidman cites Gallagher's "proven track record and financial acumen in the chemical industry."
