摘要

The ability to cast high quality thin films of electroactive polymers from their solutions in organic solvents [1] or to deposit them on selected substrates from aqueous solution [1] has permitted their use both in their lowly conducting [1] and also in their highly conducting forms [1] in novel devices. With the notable exception of the oligomers of thiophene [2], essentially no work has been reported on films of oligomers of electroactive polymers. In this report, we describe the preparation and characterization of films of selected conjugated oligomers and polymers and their application in different types of devices.
