Opportunities for MIM in the automotive sector

The MIM industry has enjoyed a long and successful relationship with the automotive sector, supplying high volumes of complex components for more than twenty years. As we report in our review article on the history and outlook for MIM in the automotive industry (page 33), MIM automotive parts have evolved significantly over this period. Complexity is increasing, as is material performance and this trend is set to continue, particularly for high temperature and high corrosion resistance applications.
