Probe opened into dumping of resin-making compound

THE Designated Authority in the Commerce Ministry has initiated anti-dumping investigation into the imports of pentaerythritol, an organic compound used in the manufacture of resin, from the European Union (EU), excluding Sweden. The product is mostly used in the manufacture of alkyd resins, resin esters, plasti-cizers, printing inks, synthetic rubber, stabilisers for plastics, modified drying oils, detonators, explosives, pharmaceuticals and core oils and synthetic lubricants.
