Event to cover biodegradable polymers for implants

PLASTICS in Medical Devices 2013 attendees can expect to hear from 27 experts in their respective fields, including a prominent figure in biodegradable polymers for implants. Stephen McCarthy, Ph.D., is a faculty member in the plastics engineering department at the University of Massachusetts at Lowell, and also co-director of the Massachusetts Medical Device Development Center at UMass Lowell and UMass Worcester. In addition, he is director of the Biodegradable Polymer Research Center, where he is conducting research into biodegradable polymers and blends.
