Gait's petrochemical complex at Pata on track: EIL

GAIL India Ltd.'s (Gail) new petrochemical complex at Pata is progressing on track. According to the latest monitoring report prepared by Engineers India Ltd. (EIL), the Rs. 8,140-crore project registered a progress of 17.1% as of December 2011. A sum of Rs. 300.76-crore has been spent on the project since inception. The petrochemical complex will comprise of a 20-mmscmd gas sweetening unit (GSU), a 19.5-mmscmd C2+ recovery unit, a 450-ktpa gas cracker unit, a 400-ktpa LLDPE/ HDPE swing unit and a 20-ktpa 1-butene unit.
