Cereplast granted patent for high heat resistant polymer compositions having PLA

CEREPLAST, Inc., a leading manufacturer of proprietary biobased, sustainable bioplastics, recently announced that the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has granted the Company patent protection for high heat resistant polymer compositions having polylactic acid (PLA). USPTO-issued patent 8,222,320 expands Cereplast's growing intellectualproperty portfolio and protects the composition formulation invented by Cereplast Chairman and CEO Mr. Frederic Scheer and Mr. William E. Kelly of the Cereplast R&D team.
