GAIL examining polycarbonate plant in UP

GAIL (India) Ltd. is likely to explore the option of producing polycarbonate polymer at its petrochemicals complex at Pata in Uttar Pradesh. Polycarbonate is one of 10 propylene derivatives the company is considering to manufacture from 50,000-tpa of polymer-grade propylene that would be left after completion of the on-going expansion of the gas cracker at the location.
