WOOD plastic composite (WPC) is a relatively new material that has many potential uses. In this paper, the focus is on technology status of wood plastic composite, constituents of Wood plastic composites, application market & current scenario which is now becoming the material of choice in view of its versatility in a wide range of applications in door and window components, deck handrails, automobile and fencing are other markets for the WPC industry. The flexibility of manufacturing methods and product performance attributes provide the potential for a variety of new markets.
