Berlin meeting throws light on an array of turkey troubles

The 5th International Symposium on Tmkey Diseases took place in the German capital earlier this year. The well attended conference attracted many interesting presentations. Here are the highlights of those relating to nutrition and enteric disorders.Well over 200 delegates from all corners of the world attended the latest International Symposium on Turkey Diseases, held in the German capital, Berlin, in June. This was the fifth conference in the series. Once more, it was organised by the German branch of the World Veterinary Poultry Association and the Institute of Poultry Diseases at the Free University of Berlin, and it was ably directed again by genial host, Dr Hafez, and his colleagues and assistants. On the programme were 51 presentations covering a broad range of topics from specific diseases to management, food safety and the vexed problems of harmonisation in the use of medications across the European Union.
