Production levels remain stable for US BOPP film producer, Amtopp

Inteplast-owned AmTopp still has six BOPP film lines at its Point Comfort Texas plant with combined nameplate capacity of around 100,000 tonnes. Actual production has been fairly stable at between 85,000 and 90,000tpa, whilst the company' BOPP film sales mix has seen some slight shift away from adhesive tape films to packaging films due to the lower margins of adhesive tape films. The company does still supply adhesive tape films as some overseas suppliers have been unable to deliver the necessary volumes.
