Indian demand for BOPP film increases by 11% in 2011

Overall consumption of BOPPfilmin Indiaisthought to have grown by 11% during 2011 reaching about 245,000 tonnes, representing a slightly lower rate of increase compared with some previous years. In 2009 for example, sharp rises in BOPET film prices caused a shift to BOPP films, since when some end-uses have continued using BOPP and others switched back to BOPET film.
