摘要

A new azido-nickel(II) one-dimensional (1D) compound of [Ni(phen)(N-3)(2)](n) (phen = 1,10-phenanthroline) was prepared and characterized by X-ray crystallography and magnetic measurement. Its structure consists of nickel chains in which the nickel(II) ions are alternatively bridged by double end-on and double end-to-end azido bridges. The nickel(II) ions have a distorted octahedral environment, completed by the two nitrogen atoms of the phen ligand. The variable temperature magnetic susceptibility of the title compound has been investigated in the temperature range 4-300 K and revealed alternating antiferromagnetic (J(AF) = - 4.77 cm(-1)) and ferromagnetic (J(F) = + 28.08 cm(-1)) interactions.
