Standard Recyclate June 2011: Secondary market not yet hit by monomer-related slide / Largely stable

Despite the lower notations for virgin polymer that followed the monomer declines, recyclers of standard thermoplastics in German-speaking Europe still had to pay high prices for their material and sometimes even faced price increases in early June. This led to calls for higher secondary polymer prices, as recyclate suppliers struggled to improve their margins. In the end, only the minimum target of around EUR 20/t could be realised and sometimes not even that.
