The turnover posted by France's plastics processing sector continued to decline in 2013, contracting by 3.5%, a new analysis released by Bank Credit Lyonnais (Lyon / France; www. lcl.com) shows. However, the fall is not as steep as originally feared. Last year survey respondents had feared a drop of 4%. In 2012, the decline even came to 6% in volume terms. Nevertheless, a detailed look shows that France's plastics processing sector appears unable to come up with a sustainable solution to its current misery.
