Continental Coal is ready to begin next month construction of its first South African coal project, Vlakvarkfontein, which has a JORC-compliant coal resource of 11 million mt. Production will be at an initial rate of 50,000 mt per month before ramping up to 150,000 mt/month after six months. Australia-based Continental Coal has a valid mining right and all major approvals in place to enable it to begin developing Vlakvarkfontein.
