The US Environmental Protection Agency has rejected a request to waive the 7.8 Reid Vapor Pressure standard for gasoline for the summer season for Colorado's Denver/Boulder area.The waiver was requested in January by the Colorado Petroleum Association,which said it was concerned about a potential shortage of 7.8 RVP gasoline.
