IEA edges up '05 forecast for oil demand,but sees slower year-end growth

The International Energy Agency inched up its 2005 world oil demand growth forecast May 11 to 1.78-mil b/d,from 1.77-mil b/d,but still well below last year's 2.8-mil b/d growth pace.By this year's fourth quarter,IEA expects a notable slow-down in demand growth to 1.7-mil b/d from 2.4-mil b/d a year earlier.
