Oslo/London-Norway's Norsk Hydro posted second quarter earnings of NOK3.577-bil(545.8-mil)from continuing operations,up 60% on the year-ago period,but disappointed markets by reporting a substantial decline in production and missing earnings forecast for the period.Norway's second-largest oil company said production in the second quarter was lower due mainly to maintenance and seasonally lower natural gas offtake,adding it was maintaining its production target for the year of 575,000 boe/d.
