Total Petrochemicals will get a second 600,000 bbl loan from the US Strategic Petroleum Reserve,bringing the total post-Hurricane Katrina SPR loans to 13.2-mil bbl,according to the Department of Energy.Total trading arm Atlantic Trading & Marketing took 600,000 bbl of SPR crude Sep 4 but it "determined the continued interruption of production in the Gulf of Mexico will leave it short of crude oil for maximum runs during October" at its 176,000 b/d refinery at Port Arthur,Texas,DOE said.
