US rig count slides by 20

The US rig count was 1,106 for the week ended Jan 9,down by 20 from the prior week,according to Baker Hughes.The latest count includes 983 land,101 offshore and 22 inland water rigs,with 957 assigned to gas,147 to oil and two to miscellaneous drilling.
