Year-end start-up seen at Indonesia's Belanak

ConocoPhillips is preparing to bring onstream its Belanak oil and gas field in Block B off Indonesia's northern island of Natuna by end-November or early December,officials at the company and upstream regulatory body BPMigas said Aug 24.The field is expected to come online with 20,000 b/d of crude output,which will gradually increase to 35,000 b/d in 2005,a ConocoPhillips,official said.At its peak,the field could pump 100,000 b/d of crude,according to figures from BPMigas,though nobody is putting a date to when that level might be reached.
