New route for Urals to Asia: via Israel: Line connects Mediterranean to Red Sea

Israel's Ashkelon-Eilat pipeline from the Mediterranean Sea to the Red Sea is opening up a new and more cost efficient export route for Russia's Urals Mediterranean crude bound for Asia, oil traders and industry officials agree. After the installation of two new pumping statins lasy year the pipeline carries crude both north and southound, and from the second half of June the pipeline system will be carrying Urals Med in a southbound direction from the Eastern Mediterranean into the Red Sea, an official from Israel state-run oil company ORL said.
