UBS wins control of Enron trading operations (First big foray into commodity trading for Swiss bank)

After a secretive auction, Swiss bank giant UBS emerged Jan 11 as winning bidder for control of the elaborate electornic commodity and derivatives trading operations of failed Enron. But terms of the deal were not immediately disclosed, raising criticism from Enron creditors.
