OPTIMUM TEA BUSH POPULATION FOR TILLAH SLOPES IN BANGLADESH

摘要

In tea plantations different spacings are used to accommodate various numbers of plants in a unit area. To find out a suitable spacing for the tillah slopes an experiment was conducted at Bilashcherra experimental farm of Bangladesh Tea Research Institute. Results obtained from the 21 years study indicates that, the higher the density of population per unit area higher is the yield at young stage. In the tillah slope of Bangladesh tea can be planted with 90 cm 60 cm spacing with 18518 plants/ha.
