Managing Securith Risks

Process hazard analysis (PHA) is widely used to evaluate the hazards associated with chemical processes and activities. Many commonly used PHA techniques are described in the Center for Chemical Process Safety (CCPS) book "Guidelines for Hazard Evaluation Procedures, Second Edition" (1). Although several PHA methodologies exist, they all contain the same basic components and have the same objectives - to identify, and often to quantify, hazards and ways to manage those hazards.
