Autumn, for many people, is a special gardening season. This is easy to understand because it's the time of year that has it all. Days are the perfect temperature for gardening and nights are just right for resting. After a long, hot summer, the cooling autumn temperatures bring a rejuvenated energy. This can be a busy time with children back in school and our lives filled with hectic routines. Memories of gorgeous spring displays and summer blooms fade as our thoughts turn to preparing our gardensfor winter. There are bulbs to be selected and planted, perennials to be cut back and divided, and tender plants to be given extra winter protection.
