There is more to 'Made in Italy that meets the eye (or the hand). Speaking recendy about sustainability in the Italian leather industry, Sabrina Frontini, director of ICEC, the leather sector's dedicated certification institute, raised the subject of the distinction between 'Made in Italy and '100% Made in Italy'. Naturally, we wanted to find out more. Ms Frontini makes it clear at the start of her detailed explanation that the distinction between the two certifications varies, depending on whether what it is you make is leather or whether a finished product is made from leather.
