Decay resistance in ground stake test of acetylated OSB

摘要

Acetylated OSB stakes were tested in ground contact in Western Greece. Two levels of acetylation were used, a high level of 20.4% acetyl content and a low level of 11.2%. The stakes were conditioned, measured and placed in soil for three years. Half of the stakes were below the ground line. After three years of testing, the results showed that acetylation imparts excellent protection against decay.
