Preserving Our Seat At the Table

The League and our coalition partners aimed high in 2004, and our hopes and hard work have been rewarded with the passage of Proposition 1 A. After years of the state treating local government as ripe for the picking, we've come roaring back, overcoming all the doubters and naysayers to claim our rightful place as partners in the governance of this great state. As we go about the process of establishing our new priorities for 2005, it is important to reflect both on what we have accomplished and the lessons learned from our campaign.
