Until a few years ago, generational issues were not widely discussed by public sector managers. Now there's at least one article every month in public sector periodicals discussing how to manage generational diversity in the workplace or addressing the need to recruit the next generation of public servants. Unfortunately, few of these articles offer proven suggestions on how to achieve an appropriate age mix of employees.
