The people at PowerMaster Corp. take a keep-it-simple, less-is-more approach to solving waste issues.rnThe San Antonio-based company has taken a gyroscopic mill, an 80-year-old invention originally designed for the mining industry, updated it and patented it as the ReCyclone. The grinder can be easily adjusted to handle all kinds of materials, including municipal solid waste, construction and demolition debris, wood waste, scrap tires, electronic waste, plastics, auto fluff and chicken waste, said Paul Dole, PowerMaster's director of special projects.rn"What sets us apart is that this machine is infinitely adjustable," he said. "You can take material down to 6 inches, nominal, to 20 microns. It will take concrete and turn it back into baby powder."rnThe ReCyclone also removes 20 to 80 percent of moisture from the waste fed into it, so what can't be recycled or used for fuel is at least reduced in volume and takes up less space if it must go to a landfill, Dole said.
