Policing and the Legacy of Lawrence

This edited collection attempts to integrate both practitioner and academic perspectives on the impact of the Public Inquiry, headed by Sir William Macpherson, that was established to explore the issues related to and emanating from the murder of Stephen Lawrence in April 1993. The Stephen Lawrence Inquiry (which the book refers to as the SLI) reported in February 1999 and whilst a sixth murder inquiry was launched in 2004 into the death of Lawrence, to date, no one has been found guilty of his murder.
