SEAN Guest, the chief executive of shale gas explorer Valeura Energy, pursued a career in oil and gas because he was drawn to the international aspect of it. A Canadian born in Dublin, Ireland, Guest himself had an international upbringing, as his father was a pilot with AirCanada, which provided the family with the opportunity to travel and see the world beyond their home in a small town near Ontario.
