Role of the medium in the thiosemicarbazide formation process

The parameter values S, which are a quantitative measure of the influence of specific solvation of donor solvents on the formation rate of thiosemicarbazides, which correlate with the ability of these solvents to form hydrogen bonds (pKHB), as well as with Gutman donor numbers (DN) and general basicity of Coppel-Palm solvents (B) have been defined.
