Deltic 55022 to go main line-on only one engine

The only main line-registered Class 55 'Deltic', No. 55022 Royal Scots Grey, has not worked a passenger train on the national network since August 30,2008, apart from a day on North Yorkshire Moors Railway's Battersby-Whitby services in September. It has seen much use running on one engine, visiting heritage railways, regular operation on the East Lancashire Railway, and providing power on the main line hauling other locos to and from events.
