Landslip line reopens three weeks early

Repairs to the landslip on the north side of Harbury tunnel, between Leamington Spa and Banbury, were completed three weeks ahead of schedule, enabling the line to open on March 13. It was on January 31 that movement of one of the deep cutting sides was noticed and all rail movements suspended. The cutting has caused problems since the line was engineered by Brunei in the 19th century.
