All-in-one security tool from Raytheon Anschutz

Integrated bridge system manufacturer Raytheon Anschutz is to launch its new vessel security system, ShipGuard, in September this year. The system has been developed to create an integrated, all-in-one interface for the vessel's existing navigation systems (including AIS and radar, for example) and a suite of surveillance cameras, to grant crew early detection and monitoring of approaching vessels and craft. The system will be marketed to address three main concerns: the threat of piracy and hostile potential boarders; oil rig and wind farm protection; and perimeter and privacy protection for smaller, personal craft. ShipGuard can be configured to suit a range of customer requirements; for instance, according to the manufacturer, the system can grant integrated control over defensive weapons, such as acoustic and water cannons and laser dazzlers, as well as ship-to-ship / ship-to-shore data exchange.
