PagePark has won the competition to create a new £5.7 million base for Edinburgh Printmakers in Fountainbridge, to the west of the city. The Glasgow-based, AJ100-ranked practice, saw off five other finalists including Oliver Chapman, who had completed the project's feasibility study and initial Heritage Lottery Fund application, as well as Elder and Cannon, Reiach and Hall, Malcolm Fraser Architects and Richard Murphy Architects. The scheme will create a new base for the prestigious printmaking charity inside the decaying former Castle Mills premises of the North British Rubber Company. The building is the last remaining structure on the 8ha site.
