A year ago, Architects Declare was born when some of the most influential architecture practices in the UK joined forces to demand the profession take action on the 'twin crises' of climate change and biodiversity loss. This ambitious initiative, driven by its 17 Stirling Prize-winning founders, followed similar moves-including direct action by Extinction Rebellion (XR) and Parliament's declaration of a climate emergency-and called for immediate and urgent change to drive down carbon emissions and move towards 'regenerative design'.
